This new body of work was in the very early stages of planning when I came across an exhibition opportunity where I could really explore a new direction with my practice. This piece is has allowed me to revisit a three-dimensional interpretation of my print making. I embraced the challenge of working with a larger format, balancing textures and colours to create an enticing composition, whilst learning how to manipulate new materials.

In these pieces I begin to further explore the representation and value of process. Through a labour-intensive task of layering analogue and digital marks I created bold but balanced compositions.

This collection of works are representative of the ideas from which they originate, the fluidity of the marks and energy captured allows for the piece to be re-fabricated each time is to be exhibited.

The final structure was a low lying sculpture stretching 420cm x 240cm made from a combination of hand printed wooden panels, Perspex and tin sheets all layered and overlapping. The piece was designed to be viewed from above on this occasion.
